Celebrate Everything....

Celebrate Everything....

This post includes a fun scalloped shaped card with scalloped die cuts with the Celebrate Everything sentiment from Scribbles Designs... I added red & white paper flowers with sparkle-bling centers... and bling accents around the cut out.....and in my nation's colors - Canada's red & white....

This is the current challenge at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

which is to create a card or project to Celebrate your Nation, by way of your country's colors ... and there is even a freebie to use if you don't have a Scribbles Design's image!!! Yay! You can enter as many times as you like with a SD image - just put SD behind your name (see the updated challenge rules on the blog) and now you can also use any other designer's or companies image - although you are limited to 3 entries only.
This month Scribbles Designs Challenge is also sponsored by Bugaboo so there are some great prizes up for grabs with the challenge...
hope you join them!

Life Goes On...
It's been a funky week... 4 hours early for a shift one day and then late arriving for the next day... Poor Boyd - and obviously myself - have no idea what my shift start times are - ugh!  It was hard to stay at home as it is amazing how our routine has changed with Ali not around.  Our days slip by quietly lately...and I'm still going thru things that circle around Ali... washing & putting away her food & water bowls, washing her favorite bed (towels), washing her toys... it's all an adjustment.   But... I will be okay... and among all of this is the dragonfly (my Mom) visits... she's been around a lot lately... comfort is found in the most unexpected moments.

We have a hummingbird who built a nest in our big wind chimes just outside Boyd's home office window.  We've been taking (numerous) photos and I will put them into this section when we get them sorted.  She (mom-hummingbird) had two eggs, both hatched, unfortunately only one survived.  The babe chick just opened his/her eyes yesterday and is feeding well from momsy.  Its quite a neat happening around our house, which has elevated some of the sadness... the universe works in wonderful ways...
And holy cow, Batman! If Pam, is reading this... I hope the bb-qued pork chops & rice-a-roni meal after your fire extinguisher event was fabulous!  I'm seeing a new motor-home in your future! LOL

Later lovelies...

Beautiful, bright and cheerful and such an important sentiment to take to heart and apply to life. As you know better than anyone, we need to celebrate something each day we have as we're never guaranteed the next.

It's definitely difficulty going through the days right after losing a furbaby. You see them everywhere and the memories bring happiness but also the tears. It all takes time, make sure you give yourself enough.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the hummingbird pics. The beginning of life is so amazing.

Hugs and love,
Lisa

p.s. YaY, I'm finally caught up again!

Yes, the pork chops and rice helped but as you say life continues. Congratulations to the humming bird and her new baby. What an unusual experience to observe.Yes, a new vehicle is definitely in order.....enough is enough!

Cheers

Oh my dear friend, a tear runs down my face, as you and hubby deal with your sadness!! I know how much you loved her and maybe she has come back in spirit as a hummingbird. When I was pregnant with Buddy, there was a nest outside our bedroom window and well after his birth, we still saw it buzzing by the tree. Not sure if it was the same one, but we always assumed it was a little guardian. WE love you and please call me whenever...We are well overdue for some chatter.

Big hugs and kisses.

Hugs to you and Boyd. Adjusting will take time and I hope you both can find comfort in the memories and time spent with Ali. I love the hummingbirds! My mom and dad have a feeder on their back porch and have watched lots of babies born, learn to fly and leave the nest. I hope those sweet little birds can bring some smiles to you both.
