Frank & Farrah...
Having some flirty fun with Frank & Farrah and red (and shades of red) with a white background. Frank & Farrah were colored with copics, added paper flags with circle enamel accents....
This is the newest challenge at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog
which is to create a card or project to Celebrate your Nation, by way of your country's colors ... and there is even a freebie to use if you don't have a Scribbles Design's image!!! Yay! You can enter as many times as you like with a SD image - just put SD behind your name (see the updated challenge rules on the blog) and now you can also use any other designer's or companies image - although you are limited to 3 entries only.
This month Scribbles Designs Challenge is also sponsored by Bugaboo so there are some great prizes up for grabs with the challenge...
hope you join them!

Life Goes On...
If you come down this far on this post... I'm changing up or I guess adding things a bit... I hope to post more events, goings on, etc etc in my life.... I am historically not a "journaller" or I guess "blogger" as I (we) live a quiet albeit private life. We have a very close circle of friends and those are precious to us. I have become friends with members of design teams and have found them to be incredibly inspirational and they too are part of my extended circle.
Now I can't guarantee that the Life Goes On portion of a post will happen every time... it will depend upon how I feel ... or when I feel ... or I'll come back to it shortly kind of thing. I am truly an artichoke has I have many layers and only a cherished few have seen those layers... LOL Boyd has seen them all - the good & the bad... the sweet and the down right ugly. I love Boyd to the moon and back and more if that is possible. There are many things currently going on... between my personal design blog, my 'business' digital image blog Scribbles Designs, challenge blogs, tangling, creating new digitals, heading out on the motorbike with Boyd and currently giving our sweet cocker spaniel Ali all the love and hugs we can give her. Ali was diagnosed in July/12 with having cancer. It has its scientific name yadda yadda from when we were told when we got the lab results has completely escaped my memory. This little girl has been more than an angel to me... she's been next to me when I've been crying, when I was recovering from surgery, my companion, my little fun sunshine. We had hoped to keep her longer than 8 short years... we were given or it was expected for her to live from 6 weeks to 6 months with the progression of the cancer. If we had done the incredibly invasive $$$ surgery - it could extend her life to possibly a year. We opted to do comfort measures and a palliative supplement program and daily pain medication. (Note to self - the supplements Ali takes, we all should be taking...) Flash forward to now... a year into the disease and it is now time to make the dreaded drive to our vet to let her go to the rainbow bridge. It is now that she is having more & more trouble eating and more & more fluid on her lungs and more erupting skin ulcers. And yet, her spunky character still comes thru her obvious pain. Shit. This is so f-ing hard. I've really got to stop typing about it right now as I am doing so thru tears. I do have to say we've been blessed with this little sweetheart from our dear friends and breeders Carol & Rob and it's been our honor to have her as a dog. Ali is our 4th spaniel and as all of them have had similar traits, all have had their very special personalities. Ali has been one of the smarter spaniels... and as spaniels go... they can be a bit on the 'slower' side... Ali is definitely a smart one! And she has been a good therapy dog not only for us, but also for my in-laws poodle when he needed the nudge aka play time to heal his knee surgeries....and he (BJ) was a fabulous little mini poodle, sadly gone to early too ... and we with him, as well, it was an honor to have him in our lives. I'm writing this while at work and my shift is winding down... if it seems kinda odd to you that I'll end it right here, well, that's just me but then - hey - I may ramble on further (looks like looking above this that I have rambled) or I may have only a couple of lines left to type. I will tell you though, if I post on any of my Path of Positivity posts... that those will always be positive and on-theme as I think what Lisa D has done with the concept of the blog/challenge is so bang-on, so inspiring... and here on my posts for SD & SS design teams... I hope to always end on a upbeat note.... so let's go with an upbeat... and I guess it is this... simple...
keep smiling... it makes people wonder what you're up to....
Hugs, Sandy

Loving Frank and Farrah. Looks like they just have eyes for each other. Love your little flags at the bottom with the different design papers.

Sandy, I just got the chance to read the "life goes on" part of your post and I'm sorry for you all and for Ali. I hope she is not in too much pain and that you and Boyd will have comfort and peace at this time. Losing a pet/furry family member is never easy. Hugs to you.
Sandy I love this card. This couple made my day. They look awesome together and love the colours.
Have a great week!
Hugs Nick
It is so nice to be reading more about your relationship with Ali and the important impact she had on your life. She was a real trouper and was obviously a very precious part of your lives. I'm so sorry you lost her at such a young age and in such a painful way.
Thank you for what you said about PoP but I do want to touch on one thing--you said that "those [posts] will always be positive and on-theme". However, I need you to know it is okay to talk about the sad things or the things that aren't going the way you want to. Life is all about taking the good along with the bad; we can never be all positive all the time. More so, it is about where we go from those difficult times that truly define who we are as people. It is perfectly okay during PoP posts to rant or rave, to cry or shout or even swear, just as long as you stay true to who you are as a person and try to balance the bad with hope. Even today when you talked, while you processed through the pain, the sadness, the anger, you also talked about the joy. That is all I can ever ask of any of you. Be you--all the different parts that make you who you are--the person we've come to love.
Hugs,
Lisa
