This week our challenge to you is to make a
card or project using the theme
#123 Anything Goes!!!
this is going to be a long post so hang in there....
I was able to get two cards completed
using the same image & a sentiment...
and... keeping them very simple (CAS)...
I'm quite happy with the results...
so here's the first...
Be Yourself-
On a 5x7 craft cardstock,
I used the Sunflowers image
colored with Spectrum Noir
(FL2, OR2/3, GB6/7, JG1/2, DR2/4 & LG5)
cardstock with a technique for the
5x7 background from
using the Spectrum Noir markers to create it.
With a MTF sentiment
to complete the look...

Add a Splash...
Based on a 6x6 cardstock,
I used the Sunflowers image
colored with Spectrum Noir
(FL2, OR2/3, GB6/7, JG1/2, DR2/4 & LG5)
cardstock using a very straight forward
design layout principle for the
6x6 background of the card,
with a MTF sentiment
to complete the look...
the only minor difference is the size of the image,
with this one being a bit smaller.
Now these cards also include two new items for me...
more of the Spectrum Noir markers and the
I was looking forward to printing & trying the paper and it is a gem to work on...the markers go on super smooth, 'ahem' Ultra Smooth (LOL)
and minimal bleed through on the backside. I was able to feed the paper easily thru my inkjet printer and I did miss a step in the process. I usually heat-set the inkjet print to ensure minimal movement (bleeding) of the ink image. Aside from my oopsie, the paper performed exceptionally well. I could easily push back any ink with the blender & even with working over and over on the paper, there was no pilling or absorption below the surface spreading the ink...
Do I recommend the paper??? Most definitely...
and its great that it is available in 8 1/2"x11"
and... do check out the pearlized cardstock...
in 8 1/2x11 & 12x12...
What more could a girl ask for???
