I used Brrr & Brrrnice on a blue theme for my card.  I loved the whole challenge image and it directed me to an anniversary card theme.

Lots of layers, black and ink distressed edges, some bling and snowflake...

Life Goes On...

I'm getting ahead of all my posts so that I can just upload and keep things on schedule for the next couple of weeks.  It's been a real sense of accomplishment as I am perpetually the latest poster/uploader of entries...

I'm also working on a year long illustrated journal - its a great class - so watch for uploads of the pages... I'm following along - albeit behind (LOL) but at least our prompts aren't 3x a week!

The card is a 6"x6" yellow card stock base with an alphabet soup DP background following the sketch below 

using the Birthday Cake (from Birthday Cake & Hat) & Happy Birthday (from Words) both from Scribbles Designs along with a circle of bling and paper flowers to bring it all together.

Life Goes On...

So how is it that people have to be so rude on the phone? I am on the phone for 8+ hours with my job and might I add, handling 2 paging systems, code phones, after hour emergencies... I'm not only on one main switchboard... we handle 4 different phone systems, oh and add the morgue video lock on top of that.  Okay... mind you there is two of us working together during 'office' hours and then there is only one of us from 5:30 pm till either 9 pm or 11 pm depending upon our shift.  And it's not just people from outside the hospital calling, it is more so staff who are so frigging rude... And do you know something?  You attract respect and manners when you treat the person on the other end of the line with the same... geez... 

okay... enough whining on my part.  But manners, people!!!!! I'm rambling...

Okay. I'm done. Off the soap box.

It always special when you can do a Guest Designer spot with a challenge and I am excited to say that I am in such a position with Fetch A Sketch for their current challenge Fetch A Sketch #59 along with teamie Calypso...

The sketch was pretty straight forward and thankfully I can modify it a bit with Fetch A Sketch's rules... LOL.  Now the thought behind the tropical fishes was a cartoon drawing I have on my bulletin board.  

I guess looking at it now, the card doesn't really make sense! LOL
