I have been involved with calligraphy & lettering arts since long before I can remember... I know my 'first calligraphy class' was in 1983 and I started calligraphy and lettering way before then, so yikes! It's been awhile...
I love lettering & calligraphy & have been a member & instructor with various guilds in Western Canada throughout the years ... I try to maintain my 'lettering hand' and one way is by participating in a year long envelope exchange ... seeing how my life is spiraling faster and faster some days... I had seriously thought about not joining in next year's exchange... well...

Look at this eye candy that I received!!! Incredible pointed pen using Dr. PH Martin's Bleedproof White (Phyllis sent me a wonderful email so I could confirm the white she used!). The lettering is superb and the illumination (zentangle-like) flourishes around my name is spectacular!
And inside was another piece of beauty! Again pointed pen but a more informal script! STUNNING!!!! What a treasure to receive...
Thank you Phyllis! You've made my day in more ways than one!
