Our Ali...

Update....
Well, the news wasn't what we hoped for.  Ali does have a cancerous tumor inside on her lower right jaw. We weighed the surgical option & we didn't get a definite percent of getting all the tumor, recovery time & quality of life for her. It would require removing 1/2 of her lower right jaw.  Dogs have lived 1-2 years longer with the surgery; but our odds were so unknown to have a successful outcome.
So, its now we will make her comfortable and enjoy, love & hug her for as long as we do have her.  We know Ali will let us know when it gets too much (pain) for her and the time then for goodbyes.
She is on a pain med, with a high protein, some fruits & veggies, and no grain diet with mega supplements (Vit C & E; Krill, Olive & Flax oils; Arginine (growth hormone); and Tumeric (Cumurin)).  We have a routine of capsules & liquids and even with her mouth as sore as it is, she takes them.
Our little angel...
***********************
I usually don't post much personal here on the blog but I feel the need to have some love and prayers from my bloggies...
Our child, our little furry angel, Ali
(almost 8 yrs old) is pictured above with one
of her favorite things - her treat ball - her other is her bear.
Today we were at the vet's because of a growth inside her mouth
and it's been biopsied.  We will know next week what the results are.
Likely tumorous and then if it is benign or aggressive.
Please keep Ali in your thoughts and prayers...
She's our angel and my little rock.

Hi Sandy!
I will keep her in my prayers and you and your family also.
I have four Labrador dogs and I love them so much and they love me too. I can not imagine going through something like this, my dogs are part of my family.
Hugs,
Julia

My thoughts and prayers are with Ali and with you!! I know the worry of waiting for test results on our furry children as I went through many sleepless nights when my Rusty was alive and had thyroid disease waiting for his test and whether he was getting worst and if his kidneys would continue to function.

I hope Ali's test comes back clean and it's nothing but a growth they can easily remove.

love your little ballerina piccy. yep, that was me there on the end, much to my mother's dismay....made my dad laugh though. he never expected me to be anything more than who I really am! :)
